I have been into
Photography since I was a kid..
Back in the late 80's early-mid 90's, I was a Freelance, Assignment
and staff photographer.
The work I did was mostly Sports, and that was mostly PAN Photography,
which I was extremely good at. I also did Industrial documentation,
and accident scene Documentation as well as vehicle shoots for
publication
---
At a point, a relationship was more important, and I was also
tired of being told what I had to shoot and I got out of it.
I shoot because of the love of Photography, when someone else
has you under "assignment" it takes away from the passion
you have. Now at first it is awesome and it is real cool having
plastic to all the events and having full access without paying
a dime. The buzz of that goes away after a year or two, then
it is just another job.. And with that, comes the boredom of
it just being a job..
---
So much has changed
in Photography, as it is all digital now, which lends itself
to much more inovation when doing a shoot.
I no longer do "Sports" photography under assignment,
but do the occasional Sports shoot of the local sports scene.

My main areas of work
Bands/Entertainers
Models (On location shoots)
Accident scene documentation
Industrial Documentation
---
I currently shoot Bands/Entertainers
the most.. There are many challenges with shooting live events,
biggest among them is dealing with lighting that is used. Most
"Bar gig" bands use floods to put the lighting on them,
that they think works best for them.. Many times what works best
for them, does not transfer into a photo real well.
This is where a "professional" is much better at dealing
with the LED and flood lights then just someone who has a camera.
I shoot a band in a way to capture the emotion of the band as
it is playing, and I develop those photos the same way. I shoot
in RAW format, which allows me to "develop" a picture,
and I also know the look I am going for.
When I shoot a Band, I shoot them the same way I would shoot
a big famous band.
So if I shoot your band at XYD Club in Podunk, PA, your photos
are going to look as if I was shooting AC/DC or some other famous
band.
On a "small venue" level, it is tough to get a professional
to shoot you at a price a band can afford, I shoot you at a reasonable
price and can work with you so you can afford to get the pictures
you want to promote your band.
I understand how a Band
thinks and how what a musician is looking for to promote themselves.
And that comes from previously being a musician myself. So while
other photographers may do a shoot with your band, you will find
the standard "everyday photographer" results. When
I shoot your band, you will find photo's that grab the mood of
the band, and the moments that will pop when others look at those
photo's.

I guarentee what I do, and will not take a penny from you if
you are not satisfied.
